Lincoln School received a SEMAC grant for the arts this summer and we will be hosting and artist in residence. Joko Sustrino will be working with our 5th graders teaching Indonesian gamelon instruments throughout the week and then each class will perform at CulturFest at Wilson Elementary on the main stage. (11:00) All other grades will work with Joko an hour during the week experiencing music from Indonesia.
Hi Everybody, Welcome the the BowcockMusic blog remix! Technical issues that conflicted with the school operating system made it difficult to post-so I learned new tools to fix the problem. My brain hurts....
Here's the video of expectations I created and showed all of my Lincoln kids this week. So great to have them back!
After 4 weeks of sectionals the Lincoln Choir rehearsed with both soprano and alto. What an amazing sound! With good rehearsal habits our music will only get better!

Coming up on the week of October 7th our music students will be marking their self-assessments for the mid-term. These can be found on the "Trimester Learning Targets" page and are listed by grade.
For mid-term, we review each of the learning targets but do not score them as they are a "work in progress"
The two habit targets are self-assessed by each student and will be available at their fall conference
Here is our new school song! Our fourth grade teacher Ms Hanson wrote the words and the group (soon to be world famous) DeKam and Johnson wrote the music!
Follow, then sing along by playing the video and following the words above. (you can see both at the same time if you do not maximize either view)
